Overview

1993

Nima founded SVG Distribution Inc. (SVG), a video game wholesale distribution company.

1997

Nima founded Crave Entertainment, a video game publisher (and sister company to SVG).

1998

Nima founded Crave and SVG subsidiaries in the UK, France, and Germany.

1999

Nima founded Crave Entertainment Group to become the umbrella company for the SVG and Crave companies.

2001

SVG and Crave exited the European markets and wound down its subsidiaries.

2005

SVG and Crave were sold to The Handleman Company.

During its lifetime Crave published games for Dreamcast, Wii, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, Xbox and Xbox 360.

During its lifetime, SVG was a value-added sales, marketing and logistics company of video game entertainment products such as Sega Genesis, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Gameboy, Sony PlayStation, Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Xbox 360.

Both SVG and Crave became market leaders.

Under the umbrella of Crave Entertainment Group, both SVG and Crave were sold to The Handleman Company (NYESE: HDL) in 2005.
Nima left the following year in 2006. At the time of sale, Crave Entertainment Group was the largest privately held company in the video game industry with revenue of approximately $300 million.
